Explores in-depth Indian land status and land claims, including the history of the development of Indian land status and aboriginal, recognized and individual Indian title. The seminar examines in detail Indian land claims litigation and settlements, including quiet title actions, the Indian Claims Limitation Act, the Indian Claims Commission Act, treaty rights and applicable international and human rights law. Available as a semester-long, advanced seminar for law students, or in abbreviated form as a three-day workshop for attorneys and lay audiences.
