In addition to Federal Indian Law, Mr. Johnson taught commercial transactions and business associations while he was a professor at the University of New Mexico School of Law. He has organized large and small business enterprises and represented them and others in hundreds of commercial matters. The firm offers a full range of business services, from preparing employment and supplier contracts to full documentation of large-scale design, financing and construction projects. We also have an active commercial litigation practice. Mr. Barnhouse represents a range of non-profits in connection with their 501(c)(3) status, and has negotiated the restructuring of a not-for-profit into a for-profit business to resolve an IRS review.

Our range of representation in real estate transactions has included title and escrow companies, as well as individual and commercial purchasers and sellers. We are regularly called upon to provide legal opinions related to the wide range of services the firm offers to clients in this field, particularly in connection with due diligence review performed during our work on financing, business and real estate acquisition and sales.

The firm represents individuals and enterprises in matters involving state law water rights in administrative proceedings, real estate transactions, and the purchase and sale of water rights.
